So one day I’m sitting in the kitchen talking to my friend about her hopes and dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. And right then and there the green monster took over! I was jealous, I wanted to make my own hours, make my own money, be my own boss, and have the freedom to “do me!”
I stayed up all night trying to think of something, anything that I could do to start a business. Randomly enough the final decision was to become a photographer. It just seemed like a good idea. So I dragged my friend to the nearest Best Buy, listened to girl in the blue shirt rattle off her thoughts about different camera brands, and picked one! The clerk announced the total and I broke into an instant sweat… Never had I ever spent that much money in one setting. But I was convinced; I was going to be a photographer! I handed my debit card to my friend and had her do the swiping because honestly, I was too scared.
And then I just snapped… pictures of course. I have definitely felt moments of insanity creeping up fast, but it has been a journey well worth it.
Looking back, I KNOW I did it all backwards. There are several things I know now that I wish I knew that day in Best Buy. But that’s okay. The point is I took a step in the right direction and now I am on the road to something EPIC. I am not where I want to be but I am certainly far from where I started.

Two things to remember:
1. Write it down!
If you write it down it is a goal, if you don’t write it down it is just a wish.
2. Create a plan.
Make sure your plan is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and has a time frame
