Brand New Me - Boudoir Session after 240 lb weight loss

Some people walk past a mirror and pick themselves apart.

Others walk pass the mirror and say “damn I look, good”

I have been both people… life is so much better on the confident side!

After my first boudoir session I was walking around with Beyonce level confidence. Yall couldn’t tell me NOTHING okay… NOTHING.  I liked that feeling.

Then I shared a studio with a phenomenal boudoir photographer, and I watched as scared women walked into the studio… and walked out as “damn I look good” people before they ever saw a photo.

I started Always Boudoir so I could be a part of the self love journey that gets you to stop tearing yourself apart and start celebrating who you are right now!

I was able to photograph Sandi McCoy for a special on Truly TV Brand New Me.  Sandi said, “all bodies are good bodies” and I totally agree.   It was an honor to work with such a resilient individual and help her celebrate her body and motivate her to keep showing up for herself!  In one of her IG post talking about her experience Sandi said “dang I look Good!” YEP you’re killing it!

“SANDI McCoy, from Louisville, Kentucky, turned to comfort eating when she discovered that a pseudo-brain tumor was making her go blind. At her heaviest, Sandi weighed 420lbs and could no longer put her shoes on without her mom’s help. She realized that she needed to lose weight - and fast! Through a combo of clean eating and exercise, as well as bariatric surgery, Sandi lost over 240lbs. Since losing the weight, Sandi has faced body dysmorphia due to all the loose skin that remains on her stomach and legs. Today, Sandi is embracing her beauty in a photoshoot that will show off her excess skin. She told Truly: “I want everyone to know that you are beautiful no matter what you look like.” "
